Ken Murphy - Owner/DJ/MC
Ken starting DJing when he was just 13 years of age in 2001 and opened Amp Event Professionals in 2004 at the age of 16. Since then Ken has grown a passion for entertaining. He has done almost every event imaginable from Weddings, to Car Shows, to School Events and more!
Ken has many traits and much experience in the music industry. He also produces music mixes for his clients to showcase at their events such as first dance edits. Ken also was a product designer for DENON DJ, an industry leader in pro DJ products.
Ken has added his own flavor in the wedding DJ world with personalized touches that no other DJ or company does in the Midwest. At your event you will not only dance, but also create memories that will truly last a lifetime. Jimmy - DJ/MC
When he isn’t DJing weddings and special events, he can be found at Saddle Up Salon behind the decks playing country tunes. Jimmy is professional, fun, engaging and will have you dancing from start to finish. When it comes to music, he will play whatever will get your guests jumping and singing from classics, to new school, and everything in between. Does he mix? You bet he does! You can count on Jimmy to keeping your timeline on time, and your dance floor full.
Ryan - DJ/MC
DJing for 18 years and has been working side by side with Ken since the beginning of Amp Event Professionals. Ryan has DJed almost all events including Weddings, Schools, Graduations and much more! He is experienced in the DJ booth and uses great enthusiasm both on and off the microphone! Ryan also reads the crowd so the dance floor will be jumping all night to keep both you and the guests having an unforgettable event with both class and fun!
Grant - DJ/MC
I’ve been a pianist my entire life and found I had an ear for DJing in 2000. Mixing and transitioning just seemed inherent and I enjoyed it. My love for music led me to start playing for small gatherings, non-profits and eventually larger events. Music was always in my life. I’m happy to be working with so many great clients and companies.
I love what I do and it’s always a good time!
Fun Fact: I’ve written and produced original music for video games!
Chris - DJ/MC
Chris has been Djing for over 5 years. He is competent in his work and will create a fun, inviting atmosphere while keeping your timeline on time. When it comes to music, he knows how to move the room from one genre to another keeping it fresh so your guests will enjoy dancing from start to finish. His resume doesn’t stop at private events though, he has also performed at various night clubs and even did a set at North Coast Music Festival. Overall, Chris is a DJ who will keep the timing of your day a priority and play the music your guests will love to dance to.
