Tips for Success

If you follow these tips for success,
we are going to create tears of joy on your day
that will have guests raving for years to come.

How to make the most of your interview:

  1. Download Voice Memo App on your phone. This will be used as the recording device.
  2. Sometimes it helps to write bullet points. I don’t recommend reading verbatim. You won’t sound organic and that is the most important part about creating this experience for your guests.
  3. Keep in mind that I will removal all the “ums” and pauses from your interview. You will sound polished when I am thru with editing.
  4. Speak from the heart.
  5. It is totally ok (and honestly refreshing) to be vulnerable and emotional. The more you give, the better your edit will turn out.
  6. Details are important! Especially for the “This Is Us” edit. Mention funny events that happened and make it memorable. This should be a fun experience for both you and your guests!

This Is Us Interview:

  1. Practice your first date story and how you met. Don’t leave out any details, if you remember it, include it because your fiance may include something you don’t.
  2. What do you love most about the other person?
  3. How does that person make you feel?
  4. When did you know they were the one?
  5. What do you want to say to that person on your wedding day?
Here is what your “This Is Us” interview edit will sound like as your wedding party walks down the aisle.

First Dance Montage Example:

  1. Include 25-30 pictures (and video if available) to the Google Drive you were sent. If you need Ken to resend just ask.
  2. Ken will create a video just like this that will bring your guests to tears!

Parent Dance Interview:

  1. Think of a favorite memory about the parent you are speaking about.
  2. What do you love most about your parent?
  3. How does that person make you feel?
  4. What you want to say to that person on your wedding day?
